This year we want to start a new tradition with our departing 8th grade students. The last week of school they will be writing a letter to their future high school senior self. We hope that writing this letter to their future self helps promote personal growth, self-reflection, and long-term thinking, while also providing practical benefits in goal setting and emotional support.

The letters will be filed away at our campus and we hope to invite these students back to Mission Junior High May of 2028 to visit with their former teacher and unseal their letters.

Mission CISD's Summer Food Service Program, ensures that all children aged 18 years and younger will have access to nutritious meals at no cost throughout the summer months. Please look at flyer below for locations.

We have so many great events happening the last week of school including the Talent Show and Staff vs. Students game. Both will have $3 entrance free, and students must not have more than 3 unexcused absences for the month of May.

Our Field Day Incentive will take place on Wednesday, May 22nd. Only students who meet the requirements will be invited to attend: no referrals, no more than 1 excused absence from April 16th - May 15th, passing all classes for the 5th 6 weeks.

We are looking forward to our upcoming awards assemblies. Students who are invited will be notified by counselors.

If students are participating in the awards ceremony they can wear Sundays best clothes and change into their favorite outfit afterwards for our themed day. Please make sure to follow MCISD guidelines.

Please start bringing in those books, we will be sending out late notices.

Yearbooks will be arriving this month, still time to purchase one online or in person for $50.
