while you are taking this test you may use these tools to help you as much as you need this is the pointer the pointer tool is used to choose answers as well as to choose other tools and features within the test the pointer will change to a pencil when moved over an answer Bubba use it to choose your answers if you are using another tool you can return to the pointer by clicking or tapping the pointer button this is the cross up to the Cross off tool is used to narrow down the possible answer choice by allowing you to Mark choices you believe are not correct it is only available on questions with answer bubbles the cross up tool appears as a pencil with a red X use it to place a red text through an answer bubble you believe is not correct click or tap the cross off button again or the pointer button to stop using the cross off tool if you have marked an answer bubble with a red X you can steal you is the pointer tool to Mark the answer bubble for that answer the Red X will be removed if you have marked an answer as correct you can use the cross off tool to Mark the answer as not correct the answer bubble shading will be removed this is the highlighter tool the highlighter tool is used to highlight important information the highlighter tool appears as a highlighter tip to use the tool click or tap the highlighter button and then choose use highlighter use your mouse or if you have a tablet use your finger to select the desired information to highlight the highlighter tool appears as highlighter tip with a red X when moved over a highlighted section click or tap the highlighted information to remove the highlighting you can choose the highlighter button and then choose clear all to remove all the highlighting on a page click or tap the pointer button to stop using the highlighter tool as a note you will not be able to highlight certain areas of the screen this is sticky note tool the sticky note tool is used to place a short note in a question or passage the sticky note tool appears as a gray notepad to use the tool click or tap the sticky note button and then she new sticky note use your mouse or if you are using a tablet use your finger to place the note enter text in the note using your keyboard the content of the note is limited to eight lines of text to close a note choose the red close button in the upper-right corner of the note a small numbered Square will show the location of the note use your mouse or if you are using a tablet use your to move the note to a new location if needed to reopen the note double click or tap the small number 2 square to hide every note click or tap the sticky note button and then choose hide sticky notes the show The Hidden notes click or tap the sticky notes button and then choose show sticky notes to delete a note click or tap the trash can once you delete a note you cannot get back the deleted notes number not be used again within the test as a note the sticky note tool appears as a red notepad in places where note cannot be placed this is the magnifier tool the magnifi air tool allows you to enlarge the entire screen the other tools for example the highlighter tool or the cross up tool can be used along with the magnifier to use the magnifier click or tap the magnifier button and choose the level of magnification you need use your mouse or if you are using a tablet use your finger to scroll the window left and right or up and down to see the rest of the screen close the tool click tour the magnifier button and then shoes off to stop using the magnifier tool this is the line guide tool the line guide tool shows a blue line that helps you focus on a single line text the line guide appears as a single blue line with a blue handle use your mouse or if you are using a tablet use your finger to select either the line or the handle to move the line up or down for questions that have more than one team you may grab the blue handle and drag the line guide from one pain to the other click or tap the line guide button again. Using the line guide tool now it's your turn click next to practice on your own welcome to the speaking test before you begin let's take a look at the speaking test buttons and try a practice question some of you may be using a computer with a mouse or you may be using a tablet if you have a mouse click on the record button then say your answer to the microphone if you have a tattoo use your finger to tap the record button then say your answer into the microphone you may also use these other buttons to help you record your answer this is the stop button click find the stop button to stop recording and this is the start over button click or tap on the start over button if you want to record again you only start over up to two times doing the speaking test you may also see these buttons this is the directions button click or tap this button to hear the directions again this is the check your answer button click to check your answer for some practice questions this is the next button click or tap this button to save your answer and to the next question stems this is the back button you may come back to this screen and other practice questions at any time during the test but once you leave a test question you cannot go back and change your aunt let's practice a question together click or tap next to begin the practice question for click or tap the play button to hear these directions again welcome to the listening test before you begin let's look at the listening test button and try a practice question some of you may be using a router with a mouse or you may be using a also see these buttons this is the question button click or tap this button to listen to an announcement conversation or class discussion and a question this is the check your answer button click or see these buttons this is the directions button click or tap this button to hear the directions again this is the check your answer button click or tap this button to check your answer for practice
